Brooklyn’s Mother Road as noted in Forgotten New York:

From Brownsville to Benshonhurst along a single stretch of road that dates back over 200 years.
A two-fer. First run was Wildlife Conservation Society www.wcs.org Run for the Wild 5K inside the Bronx Zoo.
Part 2 was a 5K around perimeter of Bronx Park.
One of my favorite neighborhood’s in all NYC. Check out aptly named Landing Lights park.

Inspired by the HarlemRun movement (www.harlemrun.com) a route incorporating Marcus Garvey park and the streets of Harlem.
One of “10 Streets that Changed America”. A must-run with an incredible finish passing the Brooklyn Art Museum, Botanical Gardens and BK Public Library into Grand Army Plaza.

A graffiti tag the width of Manhattan. The most complext 10K route. Follows a continuous path of orange paint created by the artist MOMO from the Hudson River to East River back in 2006.
Still evidence of the widest graffiti tag in NYC at spots along the way.
